Assistive Listening Devices
Telephone systems provide additional amplification and can make a big difference for those who have trouble hearing on the phone. These special devices for the phone come in a variety of models and colors. Telephone alerting systems indicate when the phone is ringing by flashing lights or amplified sound. Visual Smoke detectors for those who wear hearing aids and take them out at night. These devices provide very loud sound and or flashing lights. Television listening systems allow hearing impaired people to enjoy T.V. without turning up the volume to a level that might disturb others. They deliver clean, clear sound directly to the listeners ears. Wake up systems adapt alarm clocks with flashing for strobe lights, bed vibrators or a combination of these. One to one communication devices or FM systems amplify sound as well as provide a direct transmission of sound via a wireless FM transmitter. These devices are successful at improving the signal when noise and distance are an issue. Tele caption decoders allow TV viewers to see subtitles of television dialogue. TDD's allow people to communicate over the telephone by sending or receiving a visual display.

Audiometric Evaluations
The audiometric evaluation consists of testing with both speech and pure tones. Testing with pure tones is done to determine the amount of hearing loss for volume. Speech discrimination scores are obtained to estimate the loss of hearing pertaining to the fine-tunig ability of the ear.

Custom-Made Music Plugs, Swim Molds
and Noise Protection

We can easily make a set of plugs that are custom-fitted to your ear.  They can be used as earbuds for MP3 players; filtered ear plugs for noise protection; and swim molds for protection against moisture.  These devices are much more comfortable than the standard off-the-shelf variety and are surprisingly affordable. Music lovers will appreciate how much better their music sounds with custom-fitted plugs.

Hearing Aid Technology
We offer a wide selection of hearing aids, including digital processing and digitally programmable, from a variety of manufacturers. We will work with you to find the best solution for your hearing healthcare needs within your budget.

Hearing Aid Repair
We can get your hearing aid repaired quickly at a reasonable cost and give you a loaner hearing aid to use until yours comes back.

Otoacoustic Emissions
A small probe like an earplug is placed into the ear canal, and a series of tones is presented to the ear. The probe records the response from the hair cells of the inner ear to these tones to give an indication as to hair cell function.
